Coltishall Green: Gossiping Gulls
Better if you go large.
My work today took me to 2 schools North East of Norwich, and travelling between them meant driving past Coltishall Green on the River Bure. It's a place I know well from mooring there overnight on my Broads holidays with my parents when I was young, and also on the 2 weeks Bri and I had on the Broads for our 'honeymoon' (8 months after our wedding, lol) - we treated ourselves to a meal in the Rising Sun pub, just behind me in the blip pic. It being November there are few boats to been seen on the river (unlike the holiday season nowadays when so much of the Broads is packed with boats almost nose to tail - I far prefer it this way, I'm sure the locals must do too). So I stopped off to take my lunch break there, and grab a blip - I loved the way all these gulls were crowded on the grass, as if gathered for a good gossip, some making use of the mooring posts to perch on!
A couple of swans come across to me (no doubt in the hope of being fed) so I took a few shots of them on the choppy water.
I'm back in the office on Monday then apparently will be back out in schools for the rest of the week - I wonder where they'll be sending me to next!
Have a good weekend blippers xx
