You've Got To Fight For What You Want
My Dear Fellows & Dear Princess,
I had a very busy day at work today. Development work is underway so I have to put my BA hat on and attempt to stay one step ahead of those wily developers.
Not that I'm complaining. It was just as well. I was really tired today and needed something to keep me awake. I woke up early, worried about Dusty. I thought she might be lonely so spent an hour with her this morning before going to work. She showed me her tummy and purred.
Cazza suggested I take her to a vet after work to check her chip. So I delivered Dusty to the neighbourhood vet and even though she is chipped they couldn't immediately locate her owners.
I suspect it's like a chain - maybe she's still registered under some other owner's name with an address on the other side of the country. Like, I imagine Punky and Jasper are still down as living in Stockbridge.
The nice vet lady said they would be happy to keep her with them, and make sure her health is okay while they continue to investigate. She said they'd be sure to let me know how they get on. It's nice to know she is in good hands. Even if they don't locate her owner I bet they find her a new home soon, she really is an adorable little thing.
So now our flat is quiet again, and everything is back to normal. The boys are just hanging out and having washes, no longer on high alert. As for me, I shall treat myself to an episode of "The Flashing Blade". And then maybe a nap.

p.s. Dit dit dit dit dit dit.... WE NOW BRING YOU A LATE-BREAKING KITTEN NEWSFLASH..... dit dit dit dit dit dit...
It turns out that "Dusty" is actually "Mitsy". She has been missing for a few days and her owner is apparently beside herself at being reunited with her pusscat.
I'm pretty delighted myself. I could tell she was well-loved by how affectionate she was. It is good to know that she is home and safe.
