I want to be a dog!
Today in torrential rain I had to drive my son to Glasgow airport on that cart track that is the A82. The useless Rust and be Thankless is shut yet again due to a landslide. They have spent over 5 million putting up a big fence with holes in it to stop the bloody hill coming down! Who uses a fence with holes! So we got diverted to the loch Lomond cart track. In all the years I have been driving that peat bog of a road, today was the wettest I have ever seen it. To make matters worse, it too was closed earlier due to cars aquaplaning off it. They build bridges over the Forth and Inverness has more bridges you can shake a stick at, but here in the Badlands of the West we get zilch! This country will go nowhere until we get decent roads and rail and not the Victorian sheep tracks we have! In effect we still have the bloody drove roads only not as good as they were in years gone by. Some clown on the radio said to drive according to the road conditions....today that would have meant having a sail and a rudder!
