Echinacea
We went to the RHS Garden at Harlow Carr with the U3A Garden Group. The colours were stunning but for my main blip I chose a photo of an echinacea flower. It is also pink for Pinktober which gives me the chance to add a link to The Breast Cancer site so that someone can have a free mammogram. Many thanks.
I hadn't intended to buy any plants for the garden but succumbed and bought a Eonymous Alatus Compactum, which has bright red leaves in the autumn. In extras there is a picture of one growing in the garden. The plant I bought is much smaller and will take 10 years to reach the same height and spread. I also found a gorgeous purple salvia which will attract the bees.
