Purrfect Timing

A Day Trip

As part of our package we could visit Pigeon Island, nearby historical site for free, so we did.

It's a real shame I can't show more pictures as it had alot to offer. Two tall hills at the end of a spit of land, so the views were stunning.

This trip also came just at the right time, because paradise was getting a tinge of the windges.

The problem was that this fire they'd had was in the main kitchen. When we moved they said 2 of the 4 restaurants would remain closed but both would re-open by the 1st Saturday, which of course they didn't, and couldn't as it turns out they were only getting delivery of the main kitchens equipment just before Christmas! Porkies galore.

You'd think they would have run the same choice you'd have had if all 4 were open but in 2 restaurants, but they didn't so you had only 6 menus for a 14 night stay, and these were set menus. To make things worse the puds were up the creek, you'd book in the morning and it would be different by the evening or they'd have run out.

Then there were the trips, because the numbers were down they kept cancelling the trips, including any free ones so I suppose we were quite fortunate.
