The last day's outings. . . .

En route back to Washington after a wander in Staunton. Fabulous hotel and delicious breakfast! We drove a while en route back to DC and came across another fun town, Woodstock,  that had a Heritage Centre so took time out. Found a lovely old diner where the little people got an old fashioned milk shake - we went next door for a wonderful coffee. Such friendly people we enjoyed a lovely half hour here!  So many shops, businesses and houses are already decorating for halloween - amazing sights some of them!  
Finally got back to DC and Jack decided he just HAD to practice his piano - as you do!
Another lovely day - now we have to start the packing for our homeward journey tomorrow. Ugh!
