A Swan's Feather

A nice walk around the stone circles and RSPB reserve. Lots of birds- mainly too far to photograph. A peregrine was hunting on the hill beyond the Brodgar pools- it even seemed to swoop a couple of times on a hare, maybe a young bird? Three to four hundred golden plover appeared and as swiftly disappeared beyond Bockan farm., Lots of scaup, pochard, shoveler, tufted, wigeon and mallard on the lochs, just one Slavonian grebe.
