Today was the first of four working in the Zuse Institute, sharing the office of a great guy, and one of the few people I know with whom I can discuss technical issues in depth. Add to this the beautiful weather and joy of seeing my PhD student so happy with her life and confident in her work, and it's been a great day.

It might sound sad to be eating alone, at the same table in my favourite burger restaurant, but it's so good! And my student will join me later after she's finished eating with friends.
