We let the stars go

I took a day off today, had a lie-in, (found out later I'd missed a beautiful sunrise), lazed around, did the sum total of nothing except muck around on-line and play cd's.

I was intending on going for a long cycle ride, but it was grey and rainy, so I thought I'd stay in and do nothing instead.

And I feel rather refreshed, I must admit. Body, and soul were running on empty I realised afterwards.

I took this photo of my garden; I've taken loads by day, but none by night.

Because I'd hung up and connected this outside light a few weeks ago (go me!), thought it might be nice to photograph it 'in action'. As usual, night photography gives the light a starry effect. I rather like it.
