Fit to fly

Still under hotel-arrest as no progress from insurers and we can’t move from our room in case they phone. I can’t believe the think nobody needs a medic over a weekend. At 4pm a female mech pic phoned, got details but said I couldn’t fly without a certificate saying I was fit for it. Now they are going to send a local doctor from here and when that is done they will attempt to book flights.

Dr Singh arrived and examined me. I was certified as fit to travel so sent copies off to the insurers. Hopefully things will more on now. He needs to come back to administer a blood thinning injection 4-6 hours before the flight, to protect against DVT.
