Candlesnuff Fungus

Once my other half returned from Preston, feeling very happy (Preston North End managed a win yesterday), we went to Apedale Country Park for some fresh air.

And fresh it was, but lovely and sunny too. As we walked through the woods we discovered this fungus, plus spider threads.
