Be careful when you pass each other

Found this sign on a narrow pavement. It illustrates the worst case of collision, presumably making people intimidating, and thus looks effective as a warning sign. 

Had a lovely afternoon with two of my friends. They kindly gave me souveniors from their trips during summer, while I didn't have anything to give them in return since I didn't go on any trip during the holidays!
