Can you smell the spices?

We are under way!  It's very early to start mentioning Christmas but, if you like rich, spicy Christmas cakes, this is one task that needs doing now as they improve with keeping.  It always falls to me to make the cake but I then pass it over to my elder daughter who will decorate it for us.  I expect in about 11 weeks you will see the end result.
