Lord of all he surveys

Thank you so much to everyone who left birthday greetings yesterday. Your best wishes were very much appreciated.

I had another meeting in Nelson today. At least this one was well worthwhile.

On my way home I passed a pair of these guys on powerlines. I turned around, changed my lens, and drove back, not really expecting them to still be there. When I pulled up one took off but this one was just nosy enough to hang around.

I know that a 'real' bird image should have them 'in action' in some way, but I'm just pleased enough to get one of these guys in focus.
