...is Henry VI's coffin that R and I carry onto the stage in the second scene of Richard III. We put down the coffin centre stage and Richard and Anne, widow to Henry VI's son, circle it as they verbally spar with each other. Richard, the killer of both Anne's husband and her father-in-law in the coffin, woos Anne to be his wife.
