Summer Again

I wanted to go for a walk today and it's been ages since we've been down to Schierstein and had a wander.  There was always the hope that a stork would be around to blip as well.

We did see a stork but it was airborne and not really blippable (too many trees).

But it was lovely outside.  Really warm - T-Shirt weather.  As usual there was a long queue at the ice-cream shop and all the benches were full of people sitting and eating ice -cream.

One of these days I'm going to remember that I'm allowed to have an ice-cream.  Or two.  It was ingrained in me, that as a kid I might want to have an ice-cream, and the answer that I always got was "want doesn't get".

I haven't thought of that in years.

Which just brought back the other answer I used to hear a lot of - "You're getting nothing of the kind". 

Odd the way these things come back to you.

Enough of the bad memories, I'll try to remember better things like walking in the sunshine in Oktober.
