Marimba

Visited a musically talented family today. They have three secondary school-age boys who along with mum and dad play a whole variety of instruments. A couple of the boys are able composers too.

One of the boys plays the marimba which I've never heard of before, let alone seen. It makes a deep rich sound which was a delight to hear.
The sticks are called mallets and a player can use two or more. You can read more here.
