Thank goodness it wasn't SNOW!

I swear it rained all day yesterday and all night.

We are unfortunately sited very near a Southern Water pump house which seems to give up at the slightest sight of hard work! So we on occassions land up looking rather more like we live along a canal. I'd love to one day, but in fact at the moment it's actually a road! I chose this picture because it does look quite canal like until the van enters right and gives the game away.

I don't like taking pictures in public unless it's somewhere everyone else is doing the same. So I had to put my brave hat on and make people wonder what I was doing taking pictures of our wall, which is getting damaged.

It's fascinating to watch, some go very fast creating a rainbow in the sun, others go fast and ram the anchors on in mid flood halting violently (very sensible!). Then there are those that try not to make a wave and those of course that chicken out and turn back. Occassionally, they backfire after a dip or slip with engine reving furiously, then there are the steamers and finally those that consider others and hazard.

What fun! I love a good whoosh!
