Passed the Preston New Road Anti Fracking camp today where there was traffic disruption as a lorry was stationary due to a protester having scaled the cab and settled on top. This particular demonstration was in support of the 3 protesters who were sentenced to 15-16 months each  in prison for a similar peaceful demonstration. The local traffic was still beeping enthusiastic support despite being delayed. We stopped for a while for the sake of solidarity in the face of such disproportionate sentences for peaceful demonstration by young men with good hearts. A lovely , local young mum and her daughter told me that this was the first time they had joined the demonstration as a direct result of the disproportionate sentences.
