Voice

I did not lose my voice. I know exactly where it is. It is hiding from my cough. I respect that.

I stayed home. I sound worse than yesterday. I don’t feel worse but I don’t feel better. I met with my boss over the phone. I like it here. There was no expectation that I come in sick.

You are right, I should have expected my exertions to leave me vulnerable.
