Calais by night

A nice relaxing day in Calais, in lovely sunny weather - wandering the coast, walking by the sea . . . and a little shopping. 

Then we went for a great meal at one of the best restaurants in Calais - a pre-birthday treat. And a fine way to end our French sojourn. Blip caught on the way back to the hotel - Place d'Armes with the new fountains and the giant Watchtower, the only witness now of a much more turbulent past. 

Ferry in the morning and then the drive home. We seem to have been away such a long time.
