This afternoon we walked up to the top of Calton Hill in Edinburgh. The views from the top over the city, the Firth of Forth and surrounding countryside are beautiful. This is the Athenian acropolis, which was meant to be a copy of the Parthenon in Athens to commemorate those who died in the Napoleonic wars.
