UNST BUS STOP
Hotfoot to Unst today to seek out the rare River Warbler in an Iris bed, or the next Iris bed. In the rain. A lot of rain. Though I did find a short wall to shelter my legs behind, which from knee to thigh was the least waterproofed area. Then the wind blew and my trousers dried out quite quickly.
Anyway, we saw the River Warbler, a Lifer, whoopee, so all was well in the birding world.
Though (extra) with scarecrows like these I'm surprised any rare birds stop off here!
