Roaring Trade at Starbucks
Starbucks has just opened (again) at Penrith and I am breathless with excitement (yeah right). Here I am standing among the tables outside the outlet, mingling with the massive throng (oops, excuse me, sorry, pardon there) of delighted coffee lovers all struggling for standing room on the pavement, thrilled with the artificially coloured, glucose drenched, fake cream smothered "syrup" in our big, glossy, throw away, plastic cups.
You gotta be kidding.
Things to try for arrogant coffee franchises reopening in Australia, having already lost millions of dollars by failing to research the local market for the first try.
1. Serve customers AT and deliver refreshments TO the tables.
2. Find some actual crockery cups and saucers and stop polluting the planet with single use, artificial containers
3. Get rid of all the sugary poison or start paying for customers' insulin injections
4. Research "coffee". Find something that actually looks and tastes like the real thing
