but more often than not the signs are ignored.  I wonder why?     This part of Lake Rotorua is the 'smelliest' (the rotten egg sulphur smell) It wasn't  smelling much  today but it is more noticeable when it rains.  The sound of rapidly boiling water due to the volcanic activity near the edge of the Lake is really quite loud  but is just out of sight in this shot.  A little  steam is visible at the edge of the opposite side of the Lake.
