inner ear issues
Just a little distance away there is a similarly toy-sized winter festive period tree but which has been properly planted in the ground and appears to be at least clinging on to life if not thriving. As this one wasn't as covered in snow it was possibly freshly-dumped by someone who either didn't realise that the other one was planted rather than merely placed or didn't care and was just dumping it anyway. Unfortunately the life of the snow seems as similarly short as the life of the tree; significantly slushified by lunchtime and further so come the evening. I was hoping it would remain nice and cold and icy as it has a pleasant anaesthetising effect on the back of my overheated-building-damaged pharynx. I had to resort to adding half a chopped chilli to my evening-food in an attempt to dispel unpleasantness of the nose. A nice fresh dump of settled snow is always worth lengthening the walk into work in the morning for, especially through the meadows where there is usually ample opportunity to see people with unsuitable footwears struggling to stay upright and where the snow dulls the sound of the moving-slower-than-usual traffic.
