hike to the top of diamond head crater today. another very accessible thing to do while in oahu - just a bus ride (22 or 23 will take you there from waikiki) and then 1 dollar to enter the park.

the trail is only about 0.8 miles, but can be fairly difficult in some spots. the view at the end is really the payoff, and though my photographic skill does it no justice, it is definitely in the books as one of my favorite city viewpoints.
