The Footplate Experience

We were lucky enough to be travelling through Oxenhope at 4pm today when KWVR's Footplate Experience was finishing its days work.   This experience gives three people a full day on the footplate, driving and stoking one of their steam locos   Not cheap but the people we saw had thoroughly enjoyed themselves   

(Re my blip of yesterday, it appears the heather was being burned off the shooting moor in order to promote new growth, although there seemed to be more smoke than normal.)
