Glen Scotia

Campbeltown is one of the six whisky producing regions in Scotland - the others being Highlands, Speyside, Islands, Islay and Lowlands.

There are however only three distilleries in the Campbeltown region and whilst I have been to the other two , surprisingly I had never had the chance to visit Glen Scotia .

I greatly enjoyed my visit today which concluded with a taste of the 2001 , straight from a single use Boutbon cask in the very atmospheric oldest warehouse on site , now appropriately called “The Dunnage” .
