SPINDRIFT

After yesterdays heavy rain there was sunshine with gale force winds as I was blown along Sandown beach this morning. The wind was whipping the tops off the waves and depositing foam on to the beach. It looked as though it had been snowing.

More gales and torrential rain forecast for tonight.
