Ladies who drink tea
My mother, my cousin, my sister-in-law and I are visiting places that offer a traditional afternoon tea. This only happens every few months as traditional afternoon teas at high class venues comes with a hefty price tag!
This weekend we were at The Savoy; delightful ambience with gentle piano playing and the 'chink chink' of silver against china. The sandwiches were the star turn; a veritable rainbow of choices - from cucumber to coronation chicken and quite a lot in between on all sorts of bread.
We also met the famous Kaspar, the wooden cat who joins a party of thirteen diners to make up the numbers.
