Alexandria

Another wonderful day - we were taken to Alexandria, via the Marina where we saw huge amounts of fresh fish, crabs, clams etc being sold, then on to the National Harbour where we went on a big wheel. An amazing place with lots of interesting shops and places for the kids to roam.  Then we took the ferry to Alexandria across the river into Virginia. It is an old historic town, well maintained and full of interesting shops and eateries etc.  Spent a couple of hours here enjoying watching people etc drinking a few cocktails and coffee before heading home for 'real life' tomorrow. Sunshine all the way and a beautiful sunset tonight.
