Style

Spent a very enjoyable day in Greenwich. Walked down from Blackheath through Greenwich Park by the Royal Observatory crossing the Meridian Line (see extra for the view of the City skyline across the Thames beyond the Maritime Museum - so much development ).

The weather was so good, warm and sunny, we had coffee and croissants on the terrace at the Museum. Afterwards we attempted to visit the Seaside Photography Exhibition but did not go in as it was £11.50 each. Most museum entry in the UK is free which is wonderful but the temporary exhibitions are usually ticketed. Unfortunately the cost is sometimes prohibitive.

There was a Classic Car show by the Cutty Sark. I loved this VW Camper Van . It had a TV monitor and huge speakers on the roof. Loud music was blaring out and competing with the dancers demonstrating lindy hop and jive nearby. The owners were sitting in the sunshine at their bistro table with a bottle of Prosecco. Now that is Style.

Greenwich has an abundance of foodie street stalls embracing all world foods. We had a delicious vegetarian Ethiopian dish that we ate on a bench overlooking the Thames

I love Greenwich as there is such a range of things to see and do - historical, architectural, the markets, food, and people having a wonderful time in our great city
.
