Proving Basket

I have to confess that I have become one of those obsessed people determined to make a successful sourdough loaf. Before the hip op all I had managed was cow pat shaped loaves, delicious but flat, perhaps over-proved or knocked back incorrectly, who knows,it might even have been the hot weather!! Anyway i threw the starter away, am making a new batch and am going to try a Hugh Fernley Whittingstall recipe instead of my Paul Hollywood How To Bake recipe book. Today I bought a proving basket from Lakeland along with some other items I had not realised I needed and the nice man behind the till carried them all out to the car for me. Me still being on crutches.
