The Ryder Cup and Sunday Roast
It was another day in front of the television watching the drama of the final day singles at the Ryder Cup. Well that was until the Sunday dinner reached a critical stage. By that time the celebrations had begun, so I brought up the channel on the tablet and had it as accompaniment to the final preparations, carving and plating of the meal.
I have to say I think it is one of the most compelling theatres of sporting drama you can watch; just as well it only happens every two years as the blood pressure rises as the matches progress. It was fairly comfortable for the European team this time around, although around 2pm I did wonder whether the USA might pull off an implausible win.
