Wakey, wakey.....

Up very early today, to catch the right tide to Lindisfarne, where the National Trust have restored the castle beautifully. It's a bit of a hike for anyone who's disabled, but there were so many determined people with sticks and wheelchairs, giving it a go, that I felt I was visiting Lourdes...

Then on to the funeral tea of a complete stranger. (We didn't actually set out to gatecrash a wake....it just sort of happened.)

The next time anyone tells me that there's no such thing as a free lunch, I shall tell them they're wrong....and that it involved the best sausages I've ever eaten!
