Silly Saturday

Today was the grand opening of the new Waterfront Development along the Columbia River in Downtown Vancouver (Washington).  Husband went to work very early,  I went to his office later in the morning and we walked from there.  I took too many photos of dignitaries, senators, state representative....listened to speeches and left before the ribbon cutting.  I did get many shots of silly things, two girls dressed as mermaids working a booth on ocean conservation, I photographed two dinosaurs with a pink unicorn (I have no idea what they were supporting).  After leaving the event we stopped for lunch and this robot came walking by, again no idea what it was for or supporting.  On my way home I stopped at Officers Row to see some of the reinactors parading in front of the officers homes.  I have put a couple of these shots in the Extra photos.   We have a 80th birthday party to attend tonight, which will be a big event and lots of fun.
