Poppies at the IWM North

Slept well, hub not so much......we had a cuppa then took a walk for the paper and some baocn and eggs.

After a light lunch we finally headed into Manchester to see the Poppies at the Imperial War Museum.......as you can see here and there are two extras, from inside the museum, a trabant and a jet engine.

We enjoyed walking around, reading all about the various installations. It is really shocking to read firsthand about the millions who lost there lives in war.

The weather has been lovely today although much cooler.......so we needed our jackets. .

We left the car at the Quays and jumped the metro into the city centre. We decided to have a cocktail in Grand Pacific before heading to Ginos for something to eat. Both were lovely!!

Walked back to St. Peters Square, caught the tram back to Media City, hub drove home. We were back by 9.15pm.

Unfortunately we hadnt set Strictly to record, so will have to catch up tomorrow :-/
