Ilfracombe sunset

Got up and finished our packing this morning.  Set off after 11am, and had a long old drive to Devon.  We were doing pretty well until we got near Taunton, then an accident ahead stopped us in our tracks.  Attempted to take an alternative route, only to get half-way along it and find a tree down across the road.  Foiled again!  Re-routed again, and eventually got back on track, although about an hour later than we would have been.

Arrived in Ilfracombe shortly before 6pm, and checked in to our really lovely holiday apartment, with rather a beautiful view!  Wandered over to Lidl after we'd got everything in, got a few basics, as well as dinner ingredients, then cooked a meal back at the apartment.  Lovely chilled out evening after that, feeling somewhat knackered!
