Low Tide

I woke up at 3am and decided it was a good idea to take a photo of The Old Oak Tree in our village under the stars as it was a clear night; the idea coming from seeing an old photo of mine of it printed out large on the office wall of a Canadian woman counsellor who saw it and wanted it.

Arriving about 3.30am, with the moonlight too bright, two planes went over leaving trails of which still had not cleared hour later when I returned. Very strange. We're being sprayed with something!

Consequentally I headed to Newport City centre where it was low tide. The photo shows the old town bridge and castle, the 'Wave' sculpture in red, and the old Newport Provisions Market.

We're babysitting our granddaughter Amelia tonight. Apparently her mum is not happy with her as this last week she's been playing up not going straight to sleep. It won't bother us - we can play with her!
