Towd Yak

I was in the studio all morning getting a start on some product photography but in the afternoon I went on a search for interesting oak trees. 

This is one I read about in a book while I was still at school in Whitehaven. Towd Yak stands, or should I say, is propped up, in Lowther Park, Penrith. The 400 year old tree is propped up because legend has it that should a branch touch the ground, the fortunes of the Lowther family will fall.
