Lurking In The Undergrowth
After the shopping we took advantage of the pleasant weather with a walk around Straiton Pond. Towards the far end is a patch of flowers growing wild, including several Michaelmas daisies, popular with feeding bees and hoverflies. I noticed the second one (?spider) only on seeing the photo on screen.
There were rosehips and haws (Hawthorn berries) in abundance; I understand they make a good jelly but, having spent three days working on Elderberries, (elderberry rob is now bottled but still have jelly to make), I have no appetite for experimentation.
