Dolly and Kiki go to the vet school
We drove Kiki and Hubert through to the vet school in Edinburgh this morning! It's a much longer drive than they're used to, so we bought a new large carrier so they would have more space in the car for the journey. Their normal carrier is good but only really suitable for short distance, we used that to between the house/car/vet school! It's a teaching hospital so Kiki was seen by one of the final year vet students and a qualified vet, with four other students present! She had an exam and we discussed things before leaving her with them for her CT! She had both ears shaved to insert cannulas, they gave her contrast to help things show up a bit better on the CT! Sadly as it was already 2pm by the time she got her CT they didn't have the results ready, but we should have them by Monday at the latest! The exotics team we saw today will then liaise with oncology to decide on a treatment plan and we'll go back through after that! All home safe now but Kiki seems tired after her long day! Hubert was a wee star too, he came to keep Kiki company and we didn't like the idea of him being by himself all day! Her ooks like a reverse badger stripe to me, poor wee darling, she's still adorable though!
We had a few hours to wait around whilst she was in so we went back to The Secret Herb Garden. We passed it when we took a wrong turn on the way to the vet school, it was lovely so didn't mind too much! We visited Rosslyn Chapel afterwards, very nice, met a very friendly cat too! I posted a couple of extras of Kiki and Hubert travelling in style, a group of ladybugs we saw at the herb garden, and the friendly kitty!
