Back home yesterday and in work today.
In the knowledge that I am parting with the car tomorrow I struggled to get out of it after driving home from work.

He will have been very young ... he gave it to us with great pride and it has been on the car dash ever since on all our journies...right until the last one to the hospital even though we didn’t know it would be the last journey at the time.
It has journeyed on with me ever since.
Rough seas and dead flat monotonous doldrums.
This is our penultimate journey ...all three of us and little boaty mcboat will be emptied out with all the rest of the astonishing amount of accumulated stuff that reflects the lack of care for all the years she has held us and carried us, and then just me, through the last 150,000 miles.
