Abundance of Asters

When the sun is shining flowers look their best no matter where they are growing.

Wandering round the Garnethill area of Glasgow, after a rather fruitless visit to Mandors, the fabric shop, I passed a cultivated area just outside a block of red sandstone tenements .... a hand painted sign told passersby that the space was a Garnethill Community Garden and all were welcome. I needed no second invitation for a wander.

There were two magnificent squashes, one green and one yellow, but they were surrounded by so many leaves that I just couldn't get a good photograph.
