To Ashby de la Zouch and back!

I was expecting to Blip a photo of Oxford today, which is where we were supposed to be.  Unfortunately there was a terrible accident on the M40 early this morning and the road was closed and then when we made our way back to the M1 it was a car-park in both directions.  There had been another accident northbound.  As the traffic was also at a standstill on the southbound carriageway we decided that the fates were against us and that we’d simply keep driving back home.  It was glorious as we turned back along the top road, the colours are stunning this year.  And guess what - the road west across the Pennines was telling us it was closed.  Thank goodness we didn’t have to travel that far.  It’s good to be home.

I usually try to include at least one Blip of this creeper so I can look back and see when it was turning red in previous years.  Once it’s changed colour the leaves drop quickly so I need to make the most of it.
