Smile

A bit of a subtle one today, although I had two better smiles.. It's been a bit of a difficult decision and I'll tell you why..

Before I try and ask someone if I can take a picture of them I always try to figure out if they're likely to say yes, judge their approachability in a way (if such word exists). This morning absolutely nobody looked remotely approachable and, as expected, the first two people I asked said no. This guy was my last chance before I got to work. He felt a bit uncomfortable about it but he agreed, although he said I had to be quick because he was in a hurry. I felt under pressure. It was not easy either because he kept moving. As a result, the only good smile I got out of him was out of focus. When I got to work, one of my working colleagues volunteered to be my smile for a back up just in case, and I took a rather nice portrait of him, although he was in his uniform, and the background was the staff room, which is not very exciting.

So, it was this one which was a bit too subtle, a good one out of focus, or my friend. I decided in the end to blip this guy because it represented more of an effort on my part. I didn't want to waste this effort, and I can always take another portrait of my friend if he's willing to pose again. Now, the decision was, subtle smile in focus or great smile out of focus???? I finally settled for this one because it hurt my eyes looking at the other one.

Apart from that, I had a better day today than yesterday. A good sleep and the prospect of a day off tomorrow helped! :)

Not much more to report. Planning to go to the gym tomorrow.

Thanks very much for all your comments! I hit spotlight! :)
I hope you all had a good day! :)
