Berlin's castle

I have this week off so I decided to take my mom to Berlin for some sightseeing and shopping today.

The weather wasn't that great as you can see. The morning was foggy as usual but in the afternoon it started to brighten up.

This is Charlottenburg Palace, the only surviving royal residence in the city dating back to the time of the Hohenzollern family. Most of it was built at the end of the 17th century and further expanded in the 18th century.
