Kootenay National Park

I know  this may be boring but.. just beyond those two peaks top right is the top of the Stanley Glacier and in spite of the weather and our incredible determination we didn’t manage to reach the bottom of the snow line but we did walk over the terminal moraine and we did get wet and cold and we did enjoy the experience.

Following this we went on to walk Marble Canyon ( see extra) and crossed the Great Divide and the border between British Columbia and Alberta. Rivers on the west side flow to the Pacific and those on the east side to the Atlantic!

I think this is the last of my ‘out in the wilds ‘ blips because tomorrow we fly to Toronto!
