A day of newness

On another rather bleak day we decided to go to the cinema. Before going to see the film we had time to have a glass of wine at the Wild Boar in Belmont Street. This is a pub I had never been to before. So that covers the first part of the newness.

The second part was the film, I am not sure exactly how new it is. The film was "Argo", it has been out at least a couple of weeks. It is based on true events in Iran in 1979 during the take over of the US Embassy, and is about six diplomats who manage to escape from the Embassy. Although it is based on true events, so the eventual outcome is a known fact, it is thoroughly gripping nail biting stuff. I reckon this is the best film I have seen this year.
